Heat Exchanger

 Conjugate Heat Transfer Analysis of a Heat Exchanger 

In this project I ran a fluid flow through the top inlet and outlet and a second fluid flow through the front and back inlet and outlet respectively.  The image tot the right shows the subsequent displacement magnitude that was generated.  From this I was able to determine the factor of safety to be 3.103, proving that failure does not occur in this component.  I was also able to generate a temperature and pressure contour of the object in two and three dimensions.  This is important to monitor to prevent the part from exploding, but also determining the effectiveness of the part.  I was able to determine the efficiency of the part to be

0.221198.  We can change the fluid and continually run this simulation at various speeds of inlet until we generate an efficiency with which we are content.
